BuildWest is a specialty solar and roofing contractor that serves Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles counties. We focus on commercial applications and multi-family housing in California and work closely with general contractors, developers, housing authorities, architects and engineers. We provide consulting services for our clients to ensure product specifications are accurate, cost effective, and standard for the application in which it is being used. We save our clients valuable time and money by offering expert advice and workmanship that will last decades. 

While BuildWest is focused on commercial applications, we also offer residential offerings only to our existing clients through referrals at this time. We are very competitive in the residential space but only offer these services for a select clientele at this time, to ensure communication and workmanship remains top notch.

BuildWest is highly experienced in prevailing wage projects of all kinds from Davis Bacon to CA state DIR. We maintain Section 3 requirements for Public Works projects and ensure all compliance is met. We value safety for our employees and enforce strict OSHA guidelines which meet or exceed any requirements. We are highly experienced in new construction projects and ensuring coordination and collaboration with all trades.

The BuildWest Roofing division focuses on single ply roofing on flat roofs with products such as TPO and PVC, tile, composition shingle, and standing seam metal roofing. 

The BuildWest Solar division is a full EPC company which means we provide Engineering, Procurement, and Construction services as a turn-key solution. We focus on roof mounted commercial solar systems to maintain a competitive edge in that market segment. 

We exceed industry standard insurance requirements with a $5 million aggregate liability policy instead of the typical $2 million policy most commonly enforced in the industry. We provide pollution liability and $1 million coverage for our vehicles. 

BuildWest maintains a C-10 electrical contractors license, B-General Building Contractors License and C-39 Roofing Contractors License for the state of California State Licensing Board. The owner and founder of BuildWest is a Ventura local and has been deeply entrenched in the solar and roofing industry for 12+ years, dedicated to moving forward together.
